Marla Johnson

Marla Johnson is a seasoned biostatistician and bioinformatics expert, currently holding the position of Senior Biostatistician at Veracyte, Inc. since August 2017. Prior to this role, Marla accumulated extensive experience at UC Berkeley from 2010 to 2017 as both a Graduate Student Instructor and Researcher, focusing on statistical education and developing methodologies in RNA sequencing data analysis. Previous positions include a Bioinformatics Internship at Invitae and research roles at UCSF and the University of Iowa, where Marla contributed to genetic variant studies and the implementation of bioinformatics tools. Marla holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Iowa, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
