Garrett Kidd

Garrett Kidd has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Garrett has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as a Senior Principal Cloud Security Engineer at Veradigm. In this role, they are responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cloud security strategy, leading and mentoring a team of cloud security professionals, and collaborating with senior management and product leaders.

Prior to their current role, Garrett worked as an Expert Cloud Security Engineer at Veradigm, where they collaborated with product groups to ensure products maintained the highest security standards in Azure and AWS environments, addressed system vulnerabilities and incidents, and assisted product teams in onboarding relevant security tools and systems.

Before joining Veradigm, Garrett worked at Mary Kay as a Security Engineer Team Lead, Cyber Security Engineer, and Cyber Security Analyst and Threat Hunter. In these roles, they managed and led a team of cyber security engineers, implemented enterprise-level applications and management systems globally, and developed and implemented effective policies and procedures for cyber security.

Garrett has also worked at Alcon as an Information Technology Security Specialist, where they were responsible for preventing unauthorized access to data and responding to privacy breaches, and at Livingston Hearing Aid Center as an Information Technology Coordinator and Information Technology Specialist. In these roles, they managed Livingston's information technology goals, provided direct support to users, and fixed and provisioned various hardware and software systems.

Additionally, Garrett has experience working at McAfee as a Cyber Security Engineer, where they provided technical support and troubleshooting for complex equipment, computer systems, software, and networked systems.
