Jeremy Maxwell

Jeremy Maxwell has over 12 years of experience in information security and healthcare IT. Jeremy currently serves as the Chief Security Officer at Veradigm® since July 2020. Before that, they worked at Allscripts from 2017 to 2020 as the Director of Information Security. Prior to Allscripts, Jeremy held the position of Senior Technical Advisor for Security at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology from 2014 to 2017. Jeremy also served as the Vice Chair of the Privacy and Security Workgroup at EHRA, a trade association of EHR vendors, from 2012 to 2014. Jeremy began their career as an Application Security Architect at Allscripts from 2010 to 2014. Jeremy has a background in research and development, having worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and as a Developer Intern at International Business Machines in 2008.

Jeremy Maxwell has a PhD in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, which they earned from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2007 to 2009. Jeremy's undergraduate education was completed at Florida Gulf Coast University, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from 2003 to 2007.
