Michael Hamlin

Director, Process Engineering at Veranova

Michael Hamlin has over 20 years of experience in process engineering and manufacturing roles. Michael started their career at Eastman Chemical Company in 1992 as a Manufacturing Engineer, specializing in natural source Vitamin E manufacturing and vegetable oil monoglycerides. Michael then worked at Organichem Corporation as a Senior Process Engineer, focusing on commercializing new controlled substance APIs and implementing capital projects for milling and finishing areas. In 2005, Hamlin joined AMRI as a Principal Process Engineer, leading a team in scale-up and commercialization activities for customer and internal projects. Michael'sresponsibilities included material balance and flow sheet preparation, project estimation, and validation. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, first as an Assistant Director and later as the Head of Process Engineering. In these roles, Hamlin oversaw process engineering operations and contributed to facility modifications, setup, and validation of projects in commercial and pilot scale production. Currently, they are the Head of Process Engineering at Veranova, a position they have held since 2022. Overall, Hamlin has a strong background in process engineering, capital project management, and manufacturing expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michael Hamlin graduated from Greece Arcadia High School in 1988 with a NY Regents Diploma. Michael then pursued higher education at Bucknell University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
