Ruth Lunt

Ruth Lunt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Ruth is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Veranova since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Johnson Matthey as a Senior Scientist from an unspecified start date until June 2022. Before joining Johnson Matthey, Ruth worked as a Solid Form Scientist at the same company from July 2019 to June 2022.

Ruth's earlier experience includes working as a PhD Researcher at the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation (CMAC) from September 2015 to June 2019. As part of their research, they focused on seeding approaches for solid-form control of polymorphic, multi-component systems, elusive form discovery, and continuous crystallisation.

Ruth also gained industry experience through a PhD internship at Pfizer from September 2018 to December 2018. During this time, they worked on crystallisation projects and transitioned from batch to continuous processes.

Additionally, Ruth worked in a coordination and ambassador role as the Spectroscopy in a Suitcase Coordinator and Ambassador at the University of Bath from August 2016 to September 2018. This role involved delivering sessions to schools, training ambassadors, and organizing visits on behalf of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Prior to their PhD studies, Ruth worked as a Student Intern at the University of Bath from July 2013 to September 2013. Here, they participated in a summer project focused on literature searches, computational experiments, and code production for determining the dielectric constants for haematite (Fe2O3) using density functional perturbation theory.

Ruth Lunt began their education journey in 2009 at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College where they pursued their general studies. Ruth then went on to attend the University of Bath from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry. Continuing their studies at the same university, Ruth pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from 2015 to 2019 in the field of Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation.
