Shane Cullen has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Shane started their career at Clear Pharmacy as a Pre-registration pharmacist in 2015. From 2017 to 2021, Shane worked at Queen's University Belfast, first as a PHD Student and later as a Research Assistant. During this time, they focused on projects related to the formulation and optimization of dosage forms and gained experience in various techniques such as wet mass granulation, direct compression, enteric coating, and HPLC.
In 2021, Shane joined Johnson Matthey as a Solid Form Scientist, where they worked until 2022. In this role, they likely continued to apply their expertise in solid form formulation and characterization.
Currently, Shane is employed at Veranova as a Chemdev Scientist, a position they started in September 2022. In this role, they have gained experience in leading production batches of drug products, utilizing techniques such as ultrafiltration, extractions, filtration, and HPLC. Shane has also been involved in presenting and leading client updates.
Shane Cullen obtained their Master's degree in Pharmacy from Queen's University Belfast during the period of 2011 to 2015.
