Juvenal Ormachea

Juvenal Ormachea has over seven years of experience in the field of medical imaging. Juvenal is currently employed as an Ultrasound Scientist at Verasonics® since 2021. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Graduate Student at the University of Rochester. Juvenal also served as an Engineering Consultant at Elastance Imaging LLC from 2018 to 2021, where they translated research in the area of medical imaging techniques to commercial development, developed an advanced approach called “Reverberant Shear Wave Elastography”, developed new images that produced deep tissue and high-quality ultrasound visco-elastography scans, and drove all aspects from software implementations of the diagnostic imaging technique, to devising advanced biomarkers and clinical applications.

Juvenal Ormachea's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Rochester, which they obtained in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science - MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2016. Juvenal also has a Master of Science - MS in Digital Image and Signal Processing from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which they obtained in 2013. Additionally, they hold an Engineer's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which they obtained in 2011. Juvenal also holds a Doctor of Philosophy Electrical Engineering certification from the University of Rochester, which they obtained in 2020.
