Michael Kauffman is a physician scientist and drug developer with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple biotech companies. They served as Chief Medical Officer at Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Chief Executive Officer of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, and they are currently the CEO and President of Nereid Therapeutics. Kauffman co-founded Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc., where they also hold the position of Senior Clinical Advisor and have been integral in the development and commercialization of XPOVIO® for cancer treatment. They have a strong board presence, currently serving as a board member for multiple organizations including Kezar Life Sciences and FibroGen, Inc.
