Amy Wheaton has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Amy began their career in 2005 as a Communications Manager at the Canadian Cancer Society, where they managed internal and external communications and PR activities. Amy then worked as an Account Coordinator at Extreme Group before joining Young & Rubicam as an Account Executive, providing account management support and coordinating advertising and marketing activities for the Atlantic Ford Dealers' Association.
Amy's next role was at Colour, where they served as an Associate. Following that, they worked as an Account Director at Headspace Design and later as an Online Marketing Manager at Ascenta.
In 2014, Amy joined VERB Interactive and held various positions, including Copywriter and Content Strategist, where they developed content strategies and wrote web copy, blog posts, and communications materials. Amy then became the Digital Content Strategy Lead, and eventually the Director of Marketing, responsible for overall marketing initiatives.

Amy Wheaton attended Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI from 1999 to 2001, where they studied Journalism in the field of Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. In 2015, they obtained a certification as a BrightEdge Certified Professional from BrightEdge.
