Michael Sawina

Michael Sawina has over 13 years of work experience in various design roles. Michael is currently working as a Product Designer for Verb Technology Company, Inc., where they are responsible for developing user flows, designs, and prototypes for CRM, Pulse, and LIVE products. Michael also creates design system components used across all Verb products.

Prior to this, Michael worked as a Senior Art Director at Mattel, Inc. for 9 years. In this role, they designed packaging artwork for various Barbie franchises and collaborated with product designers, marketing teams, and engineers to achieve impactful packaging designs while managing costs.

Before joining Mattel, Inc., Michael worked as a UX UI Designer at Kaiser Permanente, where they contributed to the design of a more efficient inventory management website called myMITI. Michael conducted research and usability evaluations to improve the existing website and make it more seamless and efficient.

Michael also has experience as a Senior UI Designer at Samsung Electronics, where they translated research and strategy into mobile interface solutions.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Graphic Designer at AG Adriano Goldschmied, where they contributed to the redesign of the company's website and created various promotional materials.

Michael Sawina attended UC Irvine from 2019 to 2020, where they obtained a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction and Design (HCI). Prior to that, they attended Otis College of Art and Design from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Communication Arts. In 2003, they briefly attended UC Santa Barbara, but it is unclear if they obtained a degree from this institution. Before attending UC Santa Barbara, Michael Sawina also attended Otis College of Art and Design, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Communication Arts.
