Marta Casar has worked for several companies since 2000. Marta began their career as a Trainee at Southwing in 2001, followed by a becària role at Alcatel Lucent in 2000. Marta then worked as an Information Technology Risk Services Consultant at Deloitte in 2002, and as a Junior Researcher at Telisma in the same year. From 2003 to 2013, they held various roles at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, including Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor and Researcher, and Research Assistant. Finally, they held various roles at Verbio from 2013 to present, including Call Transcription Lead, Product Owner & VerbioLabs Team Lead, R&D senior engineer and VerbioLabs Team Lead, R&D senior engineer and PM at VerbioLabs team, and Development Engineer.
Marta Casar completed their education history with a PhD in Signal Processing and Speech Recognition from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2008. Prior to this, they earned an Msc in European Masters in Speech and Language Technologies from the same university in 2003. Marta also obtained a Telecommunication Engineering degree from UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN in 1996, with a focus in Speech Processing. Her earlier education includes attending I.B. Parc de l'Escorxador (now IES Ernest Lluch) from 1992 to 1996, and C.P. Reis Catòlics (now Els Llorers).
