Sergio Serrano

Sergio Serrano has over 18 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. In 2020, they joined Verbio as a Technical Delivery Lead, where they lead the delivery engineering team and deploys Speech Verbio solutions, as well as providing coaching and mentoring. Previously, they were a Unified Communication consultant & Project Manager at Avanzada 7 - VoIP Experts from 2015 to 2020, responsible for Voice over IP Projects and teaching courses on Voice over IP technologies. From 2002 to 2015, they were the CTO, UC Consultant and Co-Founder at Avanzada 7, responsible for the engineering department and Voice over IP projects. Prior to this, they were Responsable de Sistemas Linux y Consultor de Calidad at Atlinks (Alcatel Thomson Join Venture) from 2000 to 2002, managing UNIX systems for telecommunications projects, as well as programming server applications in Java for telecontrol of phone booths and frontend applications in C/C++ for communication with booths.

Sergio Serrano obtained a Diplomatura in Informática from Universidad de Córdoba between 1993 and 1997. Sergio then went on to study Ingenieria in Informática at Universidad de Málaga between 1998 and 2000. In 2019, they completed a Máster en transformación Digital en el sector Agroalimentario in Inteligencia artificial from Universidad de Córdoba. Sergio also has a number of certifications, including an EF SET English Certificate 52/100 (B2 Upper Intermediate) from EF Standard English Test (EF SET) obtained in April 2019, Niebla en las comunicaciones from Avanzada 7 obtained in November 2015, Asterisk XIII from Avanzada 7 obtained in November 2014, SIP, IMS y LTE: ¿cómo aprovecharlo? from Avanzada 7 obtained in November 2013, and a Digium Certified Asterisk Professional from Digium obtained in May 2005.
