Travis Thomas

Travis Thomas is an accomplished educator and founder with extensive experience in teaching and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Teacher at Synthesis since February 2022, Travis focuses on enhancing critical thinking and collaboration skills through innovative methodologies, including video games. As the founder of Paradox and Poetry, Travis curates performance art events and manages various aspects of the business. With a strong background in teaching English to international students at Verbling since August 2017, Travis creates tailored lesson plans to meet diverse needs. Additionally, Travis operates a teaching platform, Travis Teaches, aimed at English language learners through engaging methods such as debate and purposeful conversation. Previous experience includes roles as a School Ambassador and Teacher at Hampden DuBose Academy and Legacy High School. Travis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Alberta and the University of South Carolina Aiken, alongside an Associate's Degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix.
