Aaron Brown

Aaron Brown has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of security and engineering roles. Aaron is currently working at Vercel as the Head of Security since June 2023. Prior to Vercel, they held the position of Head of Cloud Security at the same company from April 2022 to July 2023. From 2019 to 2022, Aaron worked at Sisense, where they served as a Senior Security Engineer and later as a Cloud Security Engineer. At Sisense, they built an in-house SIEM system and established a Cloud Architecture Forum to drive security initiatives. Before Sisense, Aaron worked as a Full-stack Software Engineer at Modal from December 2018 to June 2019. Aaron also gained experience in the financial industry, working as a Software Engineer at LendingClub from 2013 to 2018, where they contributed to projects related to OCR and experimental features. Aaron's earlier experience includes roles at WorldTeach, Monterey Institute of International Studies, Monterey Peace and Justice Center, and Intensive and Custom Language Programs.

Aaron Brown has a Master's in Public Administration with a focus on Organizational Design from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Aaron also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Akron, majoring in International Politics, Arabic, and Middle East Studies. In terms of additional certifications, they are a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) obtained from EC-Council in August 2021, and has certifications in Development Project Management Institute from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in 2011, and Middle East Studies from the University of Akron in 2010. Additionally, they pursued computer software engineering studies at Hack Reactor, although no degree is specified.
