Mike Curtis currently serves as Senior Director of the Ship Division at Vercel, where oversight includes frontend cloud managed infrastructure, edge networking, computing, observability, builds and deployments, and core services. Previously, at Google from July 2005 to April 2024, Mike held the position of Senior Director for Core Infrastructure, leading significant developments such as the creation of Google's Server Platform offerings and migrating a large portion of Google's software repository to this stack. Mike also played a pivotal role in transforming Google’s engineering culture and implementing standard software solutions across various teams. Earlier roles included Principal Software Engineer for Site Reliability at Google+, where foundational work on major feature launches was conducted, and Software Engineering Tech Lead for Site Reliability at Gmail, where the effort to enhance uptime and optimize software release schedules was spearheaded. Mike holds a degree from Columbia University, completed in 2005.
