Andre Michelin

Andre Michelin has a strong background in the field of robotics and autonomous systems. Andre currently holds the position of VP of Autonomy at Verdant Robotics since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Skyryse from January 2022 to October 2022, where they served as Head of GNC and Perception. Andre also held the role of Head of Perception at Skyryse from November 2020 to January 2022. Before joining Skyryse, Andre worked at Verdant Robotics as the VP of Perception from January 2019 to November 2020. Andre gained experience in sensor fusion engineering as a Staff Sensor Fusion Engineer at NIO from October 2017 to December 2018. Andre's earlier experience includes their role as a Research Engineer at Delphi from October 2015 to October 2017, and as the Director of Research and Development at SySense Inc from November 2011 to September 2015.

Andre Michelin earned a Ph.D. in Systems and Control from UCLA, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a DEA (M.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, which they attended from 2002 to 2003.
