Rusty Barker is an experienced engineer and hydrologist with a solid background in flood management and water conservation. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer and Hydrologist at Verdantas, Rusty has previously held significant positions including Engineering Manager at Pajaro Regional Flood Management Agency, where responsibilities included levee management, and Civil Engineer at the County of Santa Cruz, overseeing flood control and water conservation efforts. Additional experience includes roles as an Associate Engineer and Hydrologist at cbec, inc, and Lab Technician at Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission, with contributions to various hydrodynamic modeling projects. Rusty holds a Master’s degree in Hydrologic Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of California, Davis.
