Carter Wheatley

Carter Wheatley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Carter has recently worked at VergeSense as the Director of Software: Data and Analytics, where they have been responsible for leading and managing software development projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at both VergeSense and ODYN (acquired by Turvo), where they played a significant role in developing and implementing software solutions. Before that, Carter worked at Wayfair as an Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, contributing to the Transportation Engineering team and participating in Wayfair Labs, a program for new engineers. Carter also has experience as a Team Manager and Software Lead at ByteLight, where they successfully managed and led a team. Additionally, Carter has worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Lattice Automation, Inc. and Wayfair and as a Software Engineer at the Beckman Laser Institute, UC Irvine. Carter Wheatley attended Boston University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Engineering. In 2013, they briefly studied at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, but did not obtain a degree. In 2023, they obtained a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
