Tim Ray

Tim Ray has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tim is currently the Co-founder and CEO of VeriFast, a Verification-as-a-Service platform that specializes in Open Banking-powered risk adjudication and payment analytics technology. Prior to this, Ray was also a Co-founder at CHIRP, a company they led as CEO.

In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Ray has been involved in philanthropy through their role as a Pledger at Founders Pledge, an initiative that promotes philanthropy among founders and investors. Tim has also been an investor in Knixwear, a company specializing in women's underwear.

Ray's previous experience includes founding and leading Carnivore Club, a subscription e-commerce brand that offers artisan charcuterie from around the world, and Guy Commerce Inc, which focused on leveraging synergies between e-commerce brands. Both companies were later acquired.

Before their entrepreneurial journey, Ray served as the General Manager of WagJag Grocery, a group-buying website, and founded FoodScrooge.com, North America's first group-buying website for bulk frozen meat and seafood. FoodScrooge.com was acquired by TorStar Digital and merged with WagJag to create WagJag Grocery.

Throughout their career, Tim Ray has demonstrated a talent for entrepreneurship, strategic leadership, and innovation in various industries.

Tim Ray completed their Honours-Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of Windsor from 2000 to 2004. Tim then pursued an MBA degree from Queen's University in 2010.
