Brian Close

Brian Close has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Finance, Accounting & Control at Veriff, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they served as Finance Director EMEA, Legal Technologies at KLDiscovery from October 2018 to July 2022.

Before that, Brian worked at Countrywide Plc, where they held two roles consecutively - Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis from January 2017 to September 2018, and Head of Operational Finance, London from August 2016 to January 2017.

Brian also gained experience at Walgreens Boots Alliance as the Group IT Financial Controller from May 2015 to August 2016 and at Close Brothers as Financial Controller Retail Division from December 2012 to April 2015.

Furthermore, Brian worked at Close Premium Finance as Financial Controller from September 2011 to December 2012 and as Financial Reporting Manager from February 2011 to September 2011.

Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Finance Manager at Kroll Ontrack Limited from April 2005 to February 2011 and as a Company Accountant at Countrywide Freight Group Ltd. from January 2001 to March 2005.

Brian Close received their BA Honours degree in Accounting from Ulster University between 1993 and 1996. Prior to that, they attended St Malachy's College in Belfast from 1986 to 1993. Additionally, they have some unspecified experience or training from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
