Rivo Laks

Rivo Laks has a diverse work experience, spanning various roles and companies.

Rivo currently works at Veriff as the Fraud Engineering Lead, where they are responsible for developing the fraud detection stack, building the engineering team, and providing tooling for fraud operations.

Prior to Veriff, Rivo worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at the same company.

Rivo also had a significant role at Thorgate, where they served as Lead Engineer, Head of R&D, and later as Chief Technology Officer.

Before Thorgate, Rivo held the position of Chief Technology Officer at GateMe.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Software Engineer at Proekspert AS and serving as a Co-founder at Povi.

Rivo Laks obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology from 2006 to 2010. Rivo further pursued higher studies and completed a Master's degree in Information Technology from the same institution from 2010 to 2013.
