VerifyLocal.ai
VerifyLocal is a performance-based marketing platform connecting nano and micro-creators — the locally-followed creators most major marketplaces underserve — with hyper-local small businesses. In influencer marketing today, the numbers brands pay for can be faked: followers, views, clicks, likes, even reviews. VerifyLocal pays for something that can't be faked — a real person walking into the store.
When a creator runs a campaign, the platform measures whether real local customers actually showed up, using whatever trustworthy signals a store has: its own sales data (POS and online orders) when shared, a VerifyLocal-owned foot-traffic sensor when installed, and aggregated busyness data where it exists. When the checks pass, it issues a Local Proof Token — a tamper-evident, version-controlled, timestamped cryptographic record (SHA-256 hash-chaining, not blockchain) that triggers settlement from escrow.
Creators are paid two ways: an upfront retainer guaranteeing pay for genuine work performed, plus a performance payment that scales with the real local customers a campaign brought in. Payouts are confidence-gated — when signals are strong, settlement is high-confidence; when weaker, the performance portion adjusts while the guaranteed work portion stays protected.
Over time, businesses earn a Consumer Trust Score and creators a Footprint Score, sharpening as the AI learns. Built on verified visits rather than fakeable reviews, these scores help both sides choose well — and power a paid API for major LLMs answering "which business is best for X near me."
The result: small businesses run low-risk campaigns and pay only for real results; millions of nano-creators finally monetize genuine local influence; and neighborhood economies get activated, one verified visit at a time.
