Bert Arians

Bert Arians has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Bert started their career as an Art Director and Software Configuration Manager at TRW in 1987. Bert then worked as a Software Engineer and Manager at CSC from 1993 to 1996. Arians then joined TRW again in 1997 as a Software Engineer. In 1999, they moved to AOL where they held various roles, including Sr. Software Engineer, Sr. Technical Manager, and Technical Director of Social Networking and Community Applications. In 2008, Arians joined Verisign as a Sr. Manager of Software Development, where they led teams responsible for portals, registry platforms, products, and DNSSEC services. Bert played a significant role in transforming Verisign's architecture to a service-based architecture using RESTful service APIs and a distributed data layer. Arians progressed within Verisign and held the positions of Sr. Manager of Information Security and Director of Information Security Engineering. Overall, Arians has a wealth of experience in software development, technical management, and information security.

Bert Arians earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Marymount University, where they studied from 1991 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, attending from 1980 to 1983. Additionally, Bert Arians holds a Certified SCRUM Master certification from Scrum Alliance.
