Mrinal Singh

Mrinal Singh, CPA has over two decades of work experience in various accounting and auditing roles. Mrinal began their career as an Articled Trainee at PwC India in 1998 and worked their way up to become an Assistant Manager and then an Audit Senior. In 2004, Mrinal joined KPMG UAE as a Supervising Senior before transitioning to PwC in 2005. At PwC, they served as an Audit Senior Associate and later an Audit Manager, where they audited public and private companies in industries such as semiconductor, computer/networking, telecom, and software.

In 2008, Mrinal joined Verisign as a Technical Accounting & Policies Manager. Mrinal quickly progressed to Director and then Sr. Director, overseeing SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting. In their most recent role as VP of Financial Reporting & ERM at Verisign, Mrinal managed a team responsible for financial reporting, enterprise risk management, technical accounting matters, stock-based compensation accounting, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable. Mrinal led crucial projects involving the accounting and due diligence for divestitures and acquisitions, while also successfully transitioning the accounting function from the west coast to the east coast.

Throughout their career, Mrinal has demonstrated expertise in complex accounting issues related to revenue recognition, stock compensation, acquisitions and divestitures, EPS, income taxes, contingencies, and more. Mrinal has also conducted research, provided consultation, and managed special projects in areas such as SEC comment letter benchmarking and financial statement restatements. Mrinal's work experience showcases their strong technical accounting and auditing skills, as well as their management and leadership abilities.

Mrinal Singh, CPA has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Delhi University, obtained from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy since 2011, and an expired CPA certification from the California Board of Accountancy, obtained in March 2007.
