Nikki Powers

Nikki Powers, CPA, currently serves as a Financial Reporting Accountant at Verisign since October 2023. Prior experience includes roles at Deloitte from December 2020 to September 2023, progressing from Audit & Assurance Associate to Audit & Assurance Senior. Nikki also gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business during the 2019-2020 academic year and completed an internship at Deloitte in the summer of 2019. Earlier experience includes a SOX/Compliance internship at Orbital ATK in 2017, where contributions were made to financial accounting and compliance projects. Nikki began a career in customer service as a Sales Clerk at Barre and Pointe-A Dancer's Shop from 2015 to 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Information Systems, both obtained from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business.
