Sameer Thakar

Sameer Thakar has a comprehensive work experience spanning over two decades. Sameer started their career as a Software Engineer at CMC India Limited in 1997. Following this, they worked at EHPT as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead from 1998 to 2003. Sameer then joined Wipro Technologies as a Tech Lead in 2003.

In the same year, they started working at Verisign as a Senior Software Engineer, and later held the position of Platform Product Manager from 2010 to 2013. Sameer then became the Senior Manager of Product Management, working on the Verisign DNS Firewall service until 2016. Sameer continued to progress in their career, becoming the Director of Product Management from 2016 to 2018, Senior Director of Product Management from 2018 to 2021, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Product Management at Verisign since May 2021.

Sameer Thakar completed their education in a chronological manner. Sameer obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Electronics from Bharati Vidyapeeth in the years 1993 to 1997. Following this, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani during 2001-2002. Later, they pursued an MBA in Strategy & Marketing from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business between 2008 and 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, Sameer has obtained multiple certifications in various AI-related topics from institutions such as Coursera and Google in the year 2023.
