Chris Tran

Chris Tran is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and computer vision. Currently serving as a Data Scientist II at Verisk since February 2021, Chris has excelled in developing internal web applications for machine learning model deployment and implementing scalable architectures utilizing AWS services. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Machine Learning Engineer in computer vision, where Chris developed a PyTorch Lightning framework and trained deep learning models for aerial imagery analysis. Previously, Chris held a research position at Skim AI Technologies, focusing on natural language processing, and completed a computer vision internship at Etsy. Chris also has experience leading academic projects and tutoring in statistics. Chris holds a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Niagara University.
