David Plotkin is an Atmospheric and Climate Scientist at Verisk since February 2022. Prior to this role, David served as a Senior Systems Developer at InterSystems from February 2019 to January 2022, where responsibilities included developing algorithms to enhance SQL data access through improved table statistics. David also held the position of Systems Developer while serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Chicago from April 2012 to September 2018, culminating in a Ph.D. in Geophysical Sciences. During the same period, David worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, conducting lectures and evaluating students in a course on global warming. David earned a BA in Mathematics and Physics from Bowdoin College from 2007 to 2010.
