Miao Li

Miao Li, PhD, currently serves as Lead Data Scientist at Verisk since February 2024. Previously, Miao held the position of Assistant Professor at Zhejiang University from September 2021 to March 2024, where the focus included predicting space telescope signals through machine learning, statistical modeling, and numerical simulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Prior to that, Miao was a Flatiron Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Simons Foundation from July 2017 to January 2021, where responsibilities involved creating 3D simulations of Milky Way evolution over 12 billion years and analyzing 22 TB of data. Miao earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics from Columbia University.
