Zhenyu Chen

Zhenyu (James) Chen is an experienced data scientist with a strong background in machine learning and analytics. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Verisk since April 2017, Zhenyu has previously worked as a Data Scientist Contractor at Insight Softmax Consulting, LLC, where the focus was on building a recommender system with implicit feedback data. Zhenyu's earlier experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Galvanize Inc, developing predictive models and collaborating on data analysis. Academic research roles at the University of Augsburg and Yunnan University involved significant contributions to material science and data analysis, including work on Lorentzian Oscillators and graphene synthesis. Zhenyu holds a Master's Degree in Material Science from the University of Augsburg and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
