Donald Semple

Donald Semple currently serves as the Group Commercial and Innovation Legal Director at Verisure, a position held since December 2017, where responsibilities include advising senior leaders on technology innovation, data privacy, product regulation, and consumer protection. Prior to this role, Donald held the title of Senior Counsel and Head of Export Controls Team at BAE Systems from May 2011 to November 2017, focusing on the design and construction of the UK's nuclear submarines. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Associate in the Corporate Department at MacRoberts LLP, Group Legal Counsel at Damovo, and Legal Counsel for technology and telecom startups. Donald's early career included positions as Corporate Solicitor at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and Trainee Solicitor at Dundas & Wilson.
