Jolien Barbier

Jolien Barbier is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in Intellectual Property law, currently serving as the Group Brand IP Counsel at Verisure since July 2022, where responsibilities include providing legal advice on trademarks, copyright, domain names, designs, and unfair competition to various internal clients. Prior to joining Verisure, Jolien worked as an Intellectual Property Lawyer at Japan Tobacco International from August 2017 to June 2022, managing a large trademark portfolio and ensuring global trademark filings. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant in Intellectual Property law at KU Leuven, practicing as an Attorney at Law at Monard Law, and holding various roles in law firms and internships focused on commercial and intellectual property law. Jolien holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from King's College London and a Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Program at Université Paris Cité.
