Dan Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dan started their career at Hewlett-Packard, where they worked as a Staff Engineer from 1981 to 1989. Dan then joined HP/Mentor Graphics as a Consulting Software Engineer and worked there until 2002. From 1998 to 2003, they also held the role of Consulting Software Engineer-TCL at Hewlett-Packard. Dan later co-founded Secure Instant Payments in 2009 and served as the Founder and Director of Engineering until their retirement in 2023. In 2010, they became the CTO at Secure Instant Payments LLC and continued in that role until 2020. In the same year, they joined Veritomyx as a Software Consultant before taking on the position of Director of Engineering at Secure Instant Payments, a CoreBT company, in 2020. Overall, Dan Schmidt has a strong background in engineering and software consultancy with extensive experience in various companies.
Dan Schmidt completed their primary education at the University of Utah from 1975 to 1981, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). In 1986, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and obtained a Master of Science degree (MECS) in Computer Graphics.
