John Flaherty

John Flaherty is a Senior Manager in Global Procurement at Verizon, where they lead the Strategic Procurement Projects team to enhance the procure-to-pay process. Previously, John worked as a Purchasing Supervisor at Verizon's new Centre of Excellence in Limerick and served as a Procurement Administrator at Sean Loughnane's Ltd. John has experience in supply chain and logistics from their time at TE Connectivity and has also worked as a Bar Waiter at Keanes Bar and Restaurant. They earned a Bachelor of Business (Hons) from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in May 2022, achieving a 2.1 grade overall and a 1.1 in their final year project, which was nominated for inclusion in ATU's 'Explemar'. Additionally, John has volunteered as a coach with the Oranmore/Maree GAA club, further developing their leadership skills.
