Scott Shefferman

Scott Shefferman is a Senior Managing Associate General Counsel for International at Verizon, where they lead a team of international lawyers handling commercial legal transactions and compliance in the Americas and Emerging Markets. Previously, Scott served as an Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission and held roles at MCI as Director & Associate Counsel in International Regulatory Affairs, and at Verizon as Associate General Counsel for International. Scott is skilled in drafting and negotiating complex international agreements and providing legal support in areas such as data privacy and cybersecurity. They are currently pursuing a BA from The Johns Hopkins University, an LLM from the University of Amsterdam, and a JD from The College of William and Mary - Marshall Wythe Law School.
