Iona Moog

Iona Moog is a seasoned professional in battery technologies and materials science, currently serving as Team Leader for active materials, electrolyte, and formation at Verkor since February 2021. Previously, Iona held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at TIAMAT from January 2018 to January 2021, where responsibilities included managing intellectual property, leading product development with significant advancements such as a 60% increase in energy density, and overseeing cell assembly projects. Iona's earlier experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Johnson Matthey (2012-2017), focusing on advanced lithium-ion battery materials and processes. Iona began her academic career as a PhD candidate at the Institut de Chimie de la Matiere Condensee de Bordeaux, contributing to the synthesis of doped oxides, and has also held various undergraduate research assistantships in materials synthesis and characterization. Iona holds a Master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux.
