Nicolas Dufour

Aging modeling Engineer

Nicolas Dufour is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in battery modeling and management. At SAFT from February 2021 to May 2023, Nicolas developed performance and aging models for single cells and created SOC and IMDIMR algorithms, resulting in one patent. Prior experience includes a PhD at CEA Grenoble from October 2015 to February 2019, focusing on multiphysic modeling of graphite electrodes and aging model development. Nicolas also completed internships at CEA Liten, where a thermal runaway model was developed for lithium cells, and Thalès, optimizing a GMR sensor. Currently, since June 2023, Nicolas serves as an Aging Modeling Engineer at Verkor, concentrating on end-of-life projections and modeling for durability. Educational qualifications include a Diplôme d'ingénieur in materials science and electrochemistry from Grenoble INP - Phelma, a PhD in electrochemistry from Université Grenoble Alpes, and an exchange semester at Technische Universität Darmstadt.
