Josh Saunders

Josh Saunders is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality sectors. Currently serving as a Product Owner at Vermont Information Processing since 2023, Josh oversees the enhancement of Backbar and related retail solutions. As the Founder of Backbar, initiated in June 2019, Josh developed an all-in-one platform that simplifies management of alcoholic beverage programs for restaurants and bars. In addition, Josh has been the CEO of Uncorkd since 2011, where an online platform streamlines beverage program management for the industry. With a notable history on the Board of Directors for BriteCo and as an Advisory Board Member for Verde Energy Efficiency Experts, Josh has contributed to various innovative initiatives. Prior roles include a Senior Director position at GoodGuide, Global Operations Manager and co-founder of UL Environment, and Project Engineer at Artesyn Technologies. Josh holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from DePaul Driehaus College of Business.
