Jared Marklew

Jared Marklew is a Senior Scientist II at Vernalis, with a focus on medicinal chemistry and drug discovery programmes, currently leading a drug discovery campaign. Prior to this role, Marklew served as an Investigator at GSK, contributing to lead optimisation through the design and synthesis of novel compounds. Previous experience includes a position as a Senior Research Scientist at Eurofins Selcia, where Marklew worked in radiochemistry, and a role at Antikor Biopharma Ltd as a Senior Scientist, developing antibody drug conjugates for cancer treatment. Early career stages involve an industrial placement at AstraZeneca and an industrial trainee position at Pfizer. Marklew holds a PhD in Organic Synthesis from Imperial College London and an MChem in Chemistry with Study in Industry from The University of Sheffield.
