Mek Cheng is currently the Innovation Manager at Vernx, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, they were with Nu-Mega Ingredients Pty Ltd. for over five years, where they served as an Innovation Analyst, Business Development Analyst, and New Product Development Technologist. Mek has also worked as an immigration consultant, research assistant, and commercialisation analyst. Mek holds a degree in Food Science from the University of Queensland.
Mek Cheng's educational career began with a diploma in biotechnology from Singapore Polytechnic. Mek then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in biotechnology from The University of Queensland. Finally, they earned a master's degree in entrepreneurship from The University of Queensland.
