Eric Gao

Eric Gao is a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University, focusing on land-based carbon dioxide removal through forest restoration, sustainable forest management, and bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS). Eric serves as a Technical Expert Panel member for Verra's Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard, advising on nature credit projects. Additionally, Eric was a visiting student at the University of Cambridge in 2024, contributing to the Cambridge Center for Carbon Credits. Currently, Eric’s research aims to enhance measurement and monitoring strategies for carbon crediting methodologies while delivering climate solutions that benefit biodiversity and local communities.
