Win Sim Tan

Win Sim Tan currently serves as the Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific at Verra, engaging with government entities to promote the voluntary carbon market (VCM) and Verra standards. Previously, Tan held multiple roles at Verra, including Regional Representative for East and Southeast Asia and Southeast Asia, focusing on strategic partnerships across public and private sectors. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Manager for Carbon Market Product & Market Development at Bursa Malaysia, and as a Senior Analyst in GHG Advisory & Consultancy at mgtc.my. Tan's research background includes leadership roles at the Wildlife Conservation Society - Malaysia Program and undergraduate research at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and Environment Canada. Tan holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Environmental Protection & Management from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
