Matej Kultan

Matej Kultan has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2019. Matej started their career at IBM Global Services in 2007 as a Web Builder. In 2009, they transitioned to Nokia, where they initially worked as a Software Tester for two years before moving on to become a Regional IP Routing Technical Pre-Sales Engineer. Matej then advanced to the role of Regional IP & Nuage SDN Sales Engineer, which they held for three years until June 2019. Currently, they are working at Versa Networks as an EMEA Systems Engineer, a position they started in July 2019 and is presently still holding.

Matej Kultan has a solid educational background in the field of telecommunications and computer systems networking. Matej started their academic journey at Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave, where they obtained a Bc. degree followed by an MSc. degree between 2007 and 2012. During this time, they specialized in the field of telecommunications. In 2010, Matej had a brief stint at Aalto University, where they focused on telecommunications engineering.

Matej'seducational journey continued with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, which they pursued at Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Matej Kultan has actively pursued professional certifications to enhance their skill set. Matej obtained several certifications from Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent, including certifications in network routing and switching protocols. Matej also acquired certifications from Versa Networks in the field of software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN), network security, and administration. These certifications were obtained between 2014 and their most recent certification in 2022.
