William Downs

William (Chuck) Downs is a career information security expert currently serving as the Vice President of Cyber Defense Operations at Versant Media. They have a diverse background in infrastructure project management and systems integration, with significant experience in vulnerability analysis, incident response, and fraud detection. Prior to their current role, Downs co-founded Para-Protect Services, Inc., where they developed a 24/7 firewall and intrusion detection monitoring service, and held leading positions at organizations such as NBC Universal and Mass Mutual. Their career began in the United States Navy, where they served as a Cryptologic Technician Operations. Downs holds an Associate of Science degree from the City University of Seattle.
