Rick Dewey is currently the Entrepreneur in Residence at Versant Ventures, where they leverage their expertise in genomics and precision medicine. Previously, from 2018 to 2019, they served as Director of Genomics Discovery at Foresite Capital Management, and from 2021 to 2022, they were the Interim Head of Science at TenSixteen Bio. Dewey's earlier work includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, where they focused on the genomic bases of myocardial biology, and extensive leadership roles at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, contributing significantly to therapeutic target discovery and validation. They are also the founder of a stealth biotech startup and continue their education at both Harvard University and Stanford University.
