Eric Hoffert has more than eighteen years of experience in developing collaborative enterprise software and digital media products at AT&T, Apple Computer, Inc., Bell Labs and new ventures. Most recently, he was the CTO of Emmperative, a joint venture with Procter and Gamble providing a collaborative extranet work platform. Previously, he was the Co-Founder, CTO, and Chairman of the Board for Magnifi. At Magnifi he developed award-winning and patented products and technologies to clients such as Boeing, AOL Time Warner, Coca-Cola, P&G, and Disney. For this work, he received the Computerworld Honors Award in 2001 placing a case history in the archives of the Smithsonian Institution. Prior to Magnifi, he managed Apple Computer's Multimedia Communications Group, where he co-founded the QuickTime software project and led development of the first real-time software video compression algorithm running on the QuickTime multimedia standard. The patented QuickTime technology he developed is now used on more than 100 million computers. He also developed patented multimedia networking technology that was licensed by Cisco Systems and incorporated into their Cisco Internet Operating System. While at Apple, Eric received the CEO Technical Award for the development of QuickTime software.
