Rhys Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of design and development. Rhys is currently working as the Creative and UX Design Team Lead at VerseOne Group since June 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior UX Designer & Front End Developer at the same company from November 2020 to June 2021.
Before joining VerseOne Group, Rhys worked at Digital River as a Senior Creative Designer. During their tenure from July 2018 to June 2020, they led and implemented Creative Services, including design consultation, UX audits, cart redesigns, and site optimization for various clients. Rhys also played a key role in large-scale revenue-driving campaigns.
Earlier in their career, Rhys worked as a Creative Designer at Digital River, where they designed and built marketing creatives for clients such as Lenovo, Nokia, Sennheiser, and Logitech across different channels. Rhys also headed the internal social committee for office event organization.
Prior to that, Rhys worked at Mudvark as a Games Designer, where they were responsible for the interaction design, level design, sound design, and content writing for an educational tablet game.
Rhys began their career at hibu as a Premium Web Designer, working on larger accounts and contributing to the migration of thousands of sites to a new CMS. Rhys later took on roles in Design QA and Quality Assurance, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.
Overall, Rhys Thomas has a strong background in creative design, UX, and front-end development, with experience in leading teams and driving revenue through effective marketing campaigns.
Rhys Thomas attended Hereford Art College from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. After that, they pursued their education at the University of South Wales from 2007 to 2010, earning a 1st degree in Games Design.
