John Burgess

John Burgess has extensive experience in the technology and insurance sectors, currently serving as a Technical Application Consultant at Version 1 since March 1997, where roles have included Head of Application and Managed Services and Support Team Lead. Initial experience at Sherwood from 1992 to 1997 involved contributions as an Analyst/Programmer, focusing on the development of a Unix-based system for the Lloyd’s Underwriting Agency Market. Prior to that, roles included Names Liaison Executive at Oxford Members Agency and Clerk in the Membership Department at Lloyd's of London, both emphasizing administrative responsibilities within the insurance industry. Early career beginnings were marked by sales assistance in the stationery department at Summers Office Equipment after completing education at Chatham Technical High School for Boys.
