Sinan Kaplan

Sinan Kaplan has diverse work experience spanning over 10 years. Sinan is currently serving as the Lead AI Scientist at Verso Vision, where they apply their expertise in artificial intelligence. Prior to this, Sinan worked as a Doctoral Student at the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Laboratory, focusing on research related to explainable AI models. Sinan also served as an AI Developer at PintaWorks Oy, where they developed and deployed deep learning solutions for healthcare domains. Sinan has also worked as a Research Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology and Lappeenranta University of Technology, gaining valuable experience in probabilistic machine learning and image processing research. Sinan started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Cybersoft and subsequently worked as a System Network Engineer Intern at Bimsa. Additionally, Sinan has interned as an Android and Mobile Application Developer at Akbank and worked as a Head Waiter at Tail of The Pup. Sinan Kaplan has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, which they obtained from 2009 to 2014. Sinan also completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Eastern Finland from 2012 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Intelligent Computing at LUT University from 2015 to 2018. Currently, Sinan Kaplan is a doctoral candidate at LUT University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence since 2019. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Python Programming from Kaggle in 2021, Gamification from Coursera in 2016, and R Programming from Coursera in 2016. Sinan has also received training in Authentic Leadership from the INTERNATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP NETWORK FOR PHD AND PHD SUPERVISOR TRAINING in 2021.
