Alison Betts

Alison Betts has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and public relations. Alison currently holds the position of Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Vertafore, where they are responsible for ensuring consistency and deployment of the company's corporate narrative. Prior to this, Alison was the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Alcohol Monitoring Systems / SCRAM Systems, where they led a team and managed various marketing and PR initiatives. Alison also has experience in communications and grants as a Communications and Grants Specialist at Interfaith Community Services. Alison's previous roles include Instructor at The University of Arizona and the University of Colorado Denver, as well as Chief of Staff at the Graduate and Professional Student Council at the University of Arizona. Alison also worked as a Communications Lead at Nelnet Loan Services.

Alison Betts holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from the University of Denver, which they obtained from 1997 to 1999. Alison also has a Master of Applied Communication in Written communication and technology-assisted communication from the University of Denver, completed from 2000 to 2002. Betts pursued an M.A. in English at the University of Colorado Denver from 2002 to 2005. Alison further pursued a Ph.D. coursework in English Literature at the University of Arizona from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they participated in the Bridgewater-at-Oxford Program at Wadham College, Oxford in 1998, focusing on English Literature (British and Commonwealth).
